The idealized Elliott wave pattern. Think of it like the frame to a house. The frame is what gives the house its shape and structure. In Elliott wave, certain patterns appears at certain places within the larger pattern.
For example, the Elliott Wave structure of an impulse pattern contains subwaves divided as 5-3-5-3-5…or a total of 21 subwaves.
As another example, the Elliott wave structure of an ending diagonal pattern contains sub-waves divided as 3-3-3-3-3. Though it contains five waves (like an impulse), but the shape of a digaonal pattern will be different than the shape of an impulse pattern. This shape with sub-waves is the Elliott wave structure being referred to.
